Autumn Fern

A small to medium-sized fern with erect, evergreen fronds. One of the few ferns with seasonal color variation. New growth has an attractive reddish-copper color, turning dark, shiny green at maturity, then rusty brown in fall. Another interesting feature are the bright red sporangia containing spores that cluster on the undersides of the leaves in winter.
