An evergreen clumping perennial grown for its grass-like, strap-shaped or linear green leaves. Beautiful, long-lasting, glossy bright blue berries follow unpretentious small, nodding star-shaped lavender-blue to violet flowers with golden anthers on open branching panicles. Use in woodland gardens. Spreads slowly by rhizomes.
