Smoke Tree
This dramatic long-lasting unusual shrub or tree is best planted in groups, in a shrub border, or as a specimen. Naturally multi-trunked but can be trained to a single trunk. 'Royal Purple' has roundish leaves that emerge reddish-purple and hold their color all summer before turning scarlet in fall. Attractive purple "smoke puffs" come from clusters of fading flowers.
