Japanese Cleyera

 

A handsome, evergreen shrub with graceful, spreading branches and glossy, dark green leaves. New leaves emerge reddish-bronze. Fragrant, small, creamy white flowers appear in mid-summer, occasionally followed by small red fruit ripening to black.
