This carpet-forming perennial has prostrate stems with crowded succulent sickle-shaped dull grey-green leaves curving upward. Pale yellow flowers in summer open up after noon and turn rose later in the day. Useful as a ground cover in a sunny location especially to bind and stabilize sandy soils.
