B. davidii are shrubs with vigorous growth each spring and summer. The long arching stems bear fragrant small flowers in dense terminal cone-shaped clusters that attract butterflies. 'White Profusion' has large clusters of white flowers with a yellow eye. The lance-shaped leaves are grey-green with white, felted undersides.
