Bougainvillea are characterized by vibrant colors on large petal-like bracts that surround the inconspicuous true flowers. Native to tropical South America, Bougainvillea are essentially scrambling shrubs that bloom most vigorously in hot, full sun. 'Raspberry Ice' has a hardy shrubby habit with a mounded form and variegated foliage. Raspberry-pink bracts blooms among yellow-edged foliage that emerges tinged red. This low spreading forms looks great in hanging baskets or as a small shrub or ground cover.
