Kangaroo Paw w/ Yellow & Red Flowers
Kangaroo Paw is an herbaceous, rhizomatous perennial with flat, dark green, strap-shaped leaves that fold at the midrib. The brilliantly colored flowers are tubular and often fuzzy. The unique flowers split lengthwise into 6 segments at the tip resembling "claws". 'Yellow Gem' has brilliant citron yellow flowers held against orange red stems and age to coral-orange.
