Kangaroo Paw w/ Greenish 'Yellow Flowers

Kangaroo Paw is an herbaceous, rhizomatous perennial with flat, dark green, strap-shaped leaves that fold at the midrib. The brilliantly colored flowers are tubular and often fuzzy. The unique flowers split lengthwise into 6 segments at the tip resembling "claws". Anigozanthos flavidus is large, hardy, and easy to grow. It is distinguished by shiny, dark green leaves and tall, branching stems bearing yellow-green flowers tinged with red.
